Noel Gallagher has finally spoken out about Aurora's cover of the Oasis classic 'Half The World Away' recorded for the John Lewis Christmas advert - revealing that it has done amazing things for his net worth.
He may have a tour coming in, and be raking it in from tickets to see a setlist loaded with iconic Oasis numbers as well as solo favourites, but it looks like Noel has found a new source of income.
The rising and incredible Norwegian songstress Auora recorded a cover of the brilliant Oasis b-side, but was met with some controversy - after fans had a mixed reaction, Alan McGee said it was 'rubbish' and Liam Gallagher slammed Noel as a 'sell out' for allowing it to be used.
Now, Noel has revealed his thoughts on the cover, and what it means for his bank account...
"It will forever be synonymous with Christmas from now on and, as is well known, it's not my favourite time of year," Noel told Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2. "Having said that, at least it comes with a cheque, which, believe me, is highly worthwhile."
Noel added: "Don't go buying me John Lewis vouchers for Christmas, trying to be a smart arse, inside a card that says 'Noel'".

It's been a pretty busy week for Noel - he's slagged off Adele as 'cheesy music for fucking grannies', reuinited with former Oasis guitarist Gem Archer, before shooting down any chance of the full band reuniting next year.
