After Kehlani was hospitalised following a suicide attempt yesterday (29 March), Chris Brown has embarked on an ill-informed rant on Twitter, insisting, "There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram."

As previously reported, Kehlani revealed her mental health struggles yesterday, after making tabloid headlines over claims she'd cheated on Kyrie Irving, whom she is believed to be dating.

In a post that has since been deleted (along with her entire account), Kehlani's arm could be seen with an IV drip. In the photo's caption, she wrote, "Today I wanted to leave this Earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. But don’t believe the blogs you read. No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person. Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.

"But as of today, I had no wish to see tomorrow. But God saved me for a reason and for that…I must be grateful. Cuz I’m not in Heaven right now for a reason. On that note, bye Instagram."

Now, in a series of tweets, Chris Brown has waded in. "There is no attempting suicide," he wrote. "Stop flexing for the gram. Doing shit for sympathy so them comments under your pics don't look so bad."

The reaction to his comments was, unsurprisingly, overwhelmingly negative.

Meanwhile, in an also deleted post, Kehlani has disputed insensitive suggestions that she was "crying for attention."
