Adele pledged her support for Hillary Clinton during her show at Miami's American Airlines Arena last night (Tue, 26 October).

Speaking in one of the few 'battleground states' that will determine the result of the election, the British singer made it clear where her allegiances lie in an impassioned speech. She said that, even though she couldn't vote herself, she felt she needed to speak out as "what happens in America affects me too."

She went on to say of Clinton: "I'm 100% for Hillary Clinton. I love her, she's amazing!" On Trump, she simply told the audience, to loud cheers, "don't vote for him".

The singer was then surprised when Clinton, who she apparently didn't know what in the audience, joined her onstage for an emotional finale. Americans go to the polls to vote for the next president on 8 November. They have to choose between Clinton and challenger Donald Trump.
