Tickets for European and Canadian Guns N' Roses reunited classic line-up gigs went on sale yesterday (9 December) and already sold one million tickets in a day - according to Live Nation. That brings their tally since reforming to 3 million and that's growing exponentially by the hour.
Their European tour kicks off 27 May at Slane Castle in Dublin, Ireland. By late July, they’ll return to North America for more touring across the US and Canada. Tickets for The US stadium shows go on sale today.
Guns N’ Roses’ reunion line-up features core members Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Dizzy Reed alongside guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, and keyboardist Melissa Reese.
The band also has shows booked in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and United Arab Emirates between January and early March.
Guns N' Roses earned an amazing 117 million dollars for their US tour earlier this year.
There are gaps in the classic rock heroes' schedule to accommodate them at Glastonbury and they're still strongly rumoured to join Radiohead and co.
Elsewhere, Kirk Hamett said In an interview with the LA Times that he thought about the fact Guns N' Roses, who previously toured with Metallica in 1992, played no new material on their recent headline tour around the USA was "sad". Hammet said: "Unfortunately, they’ve turned into somewhat of a nostalgia act, which to me is kind of sad."
But no doubt fans will be ferishly lapping up the likes of 'Paradise City' and 'Sweet Child O Mine' across the globe with determination to have the best time and celbrate one of the greatest rock acts of all time.
