Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme made a return with his guitar last night to perform a rare acoustic set in a benefit concert for Dave Rosser.

The member of The Afghan Whigs, The Twilight Singers, and Gutter Twins, was recently diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer and Homme was not the only star to come out and show his support. The concert at Los Angele's Teragram Ballroom also included performances from Eagles of Death Metal, The Gutter Twins and ex-Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan.

Homme took to the stage to perform an acoustic version of Them Crooked Vultures' 'Spinning in the Daffodils' as well as an unreleased song of his called 'Villains of Circumstance'. He also covered Johnny Cash's 'Dark as a Dungeon' and Cab Callaway's 'Minnie the Moocher' as part of the gig.

Watch fan footage of 'Spinning in the Daffodils' below:

Homme has enjoyed an eventful year after working with rock legend Iggy Pop to release Post Pop Depression earlier this year, landing Pop his first ever number one in the States.

Here's more reasons why we think the Queens of the Stone Age mastermind is awesome.
