Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro have been confirmed as the headliners for TRNSMT – a new festival in Glasgow, which is replacing T In The Park for 2017.
The festival takes place from 7-9 July at the 35,000-capacity Glasgow Green. As earlier reported by Gigwise (via the Daily Record), the line-up also includes Belle and Sebastian and Two Door Cinema Club. Also on the bill are Blossoms, The 1975, London Grammar, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, George Ezra, the Kooks, Circa Waves, Twin Atlantic and Catfish and the Bottlemen, who recently joined the line-up for Isle of Wight 2017. More acts are due to be announced.
Radiohead, for whose tour tickets are like gold dust, are a major coup for the festival. Gigwise’s Andrew Trendell was lucky enough to catch them last time around and said: “Just like A Moon Shaped Pool itself, Radiohead's live set is tailored to highlight every shade and flourish of what makes them so essential. Exposed, they give everything, and they're doing this for you. Make the most of them while you still can.” Why not have a read of his full review here?
Tickets for TRNSMT go on sale on Friday from the official site. Remarkably, we’ve just seen that there are some tickets left for Radiohead’s tour, which you can try and get your hands on here.
