Belgium's Pukkelpop festival have just announced Ryan Adams, Stormzy, The Shins, and over 40 more acts.
All of the above have put out incredible albums this year, gaining more praise than nearly any other artists to have put records out so they're fantastic additions to have at the Belgian festival and make it somewhere that we'd thoroughly recommend checking out.
Ryan Adams in particular will be great his album Prisoner is one of the best rock albums of the decade; nevermind 2017. There's some classic songs on there that stand up next to his the most successful stuff he's ever done.
Stormzy, meanwhile, made number one with his outstanding release (that features the likes of Wretch 32 and MNEK) before his mate Ed Sheeran snatched it from him. Stormzy is a fantastic live performer, his towering figure bounds across every inch of the dancefloor as he gives Angus Young a run for his money in terms of the energy he puts in.
The Shins, meanwhile, have made an album that's far less twee than you'd imagine. They make that gentle movie soundtrack melancholy music but on this latest record, they seem to have entered a more '80s synth oriented situation and it could ignite a few dancefloors over the course of the summer.
Other highlights in the second wave announcement include: Halsey, Sampha, Jake Bugg, The Amazons, Armand Van Helden, and Jackmaster
They join previously announced headliners Mumford & Sons, The xx, Editors, and Bastille Not and some of the US's greatest acts, including At The Drive In, Chance The Rapper, and Interpol.
