Roy Ayers, BadBadNotGood, Ibibio Sound System, Joshua Redman and more have been added to the bill for the Flow Festival in Helsinki on 11-13 August.
Jazz legend Ayers, rising US star Redman and “the hottest jazz ensemble in the world right now” BadBadNotGood join a daytime line-up which will also feature Swedish singer Skott and cellist Linnea Olsson.
The intimate in-the-round stage, which features a huge luminous balloon as a centrepiece, will close each day with world music, dance and African rhythms from Ibibio Sound System, Sierra Leone's Janka Nabay & The Bubu Gang and Fatoumata Diawara & Hindi Zahra.
The acts join an already-announced line-up including Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, The xx, Aphex Twin, London Grammar, Ryan Adams, Flume, Moderat, Young Thug, Goldfrapp, Death Grips, The Afghan Whigs, Sparks, Car Seat Headrest, Sampha and Angel Olsen.
Now in its fourteenth year, the varied, 60,000 capacity Flow Festival has become a mainstay of the Scandinavian festival calendar, drawing acts including Kanye West, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk, Kendrick Lamar, New Order and Iggy Pop to the event in previous years.
