Linking Park have collaborated with Stormzy on a track on their sixth album One More Light.

The nu-metal stalwarts, who have previously made an album with Jay-Z, have now revealed a deep-seated love for grime with the collaboration track ‘Good Goodbye’, which you can listen to below.

The track, included on Linkin Park’s new album due out on May 19, also features rapper Pusha T alongside the grime star. “We like Stormzy and we think that he’s dope,” singer Chester Bennington said. “Little did we know that, he was about to take over the world… [the collaboration] required us reaching out saying ‘Hey, we like Stormzy, here’s a track if you would like to participate on it, that would be awesome.’ Apparently he was like, ‘Yeah.’ That wasn’t that difficult, but we knew of Stormzy and that’s why we reached out to him.”

Bennington also told Gigwise: "There’s so much good music out there and we’re always paying attention to what’s going on and who’s dope and who’s making cool stuff and Stormzy was on our radar for quite a while. So we reached out to his camp and asked him if he would do a track with us. We sent him some music and it worked out... With the buzz surrounding him right now with his album going number one we couldn’t have timed it more perfectly. It’s all about having a vibe and having a respect for an artist and then taking a chance and reaching out and asking if they wanna do something. Stormzy’s record is massive! We couldn’t be happier for him.”

The single follows the lead track released from the album ‘Heavy’. “One of the reasons why we chose ‘Heavy’ as the first single is because it is really the core sound of the album,” Mike Shinoda told Billboard. “This wasn’t a scenario where the whole album sounds one way and the single sounds different. This is how the album sounds. So we wanted to go out with a song like that, where everybody can get a sense of the direction of this body of work.”
