'Club Foot' stars Kasabian stormed Reading Festival and have announced they'll be playing a 12-date UK tour, including two dates at The 02 Arena, London on 1 and 2 December. Check ticket details below.
Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno and co couldn't have opted for a bolder way to cap off a massive 2017 than do an arena tour and play two dates at The 02.
Last time they were in the capital they were playing the much more intimate 02 Forum - and that sold out instantly. You'll have to be quick off the mark again when tickets go on sale at 9.30am on 31 August here.
The Leicester lads' set at the 02 was incredible, whetting our appetite to see them again. Tracks from new album, For Crying Out Loud such as 'I'm In Love With A Psycho' and 'God Bless This Acid House' had a great impact, setting off the crowd with as much venom as their classics.
That show in April was all part of a big comeback for the album For Crying Out Loud, the to follow up to the 2014 album, 48:13. They announced their first tour details for this campaign just before Christmas last year.
With fans starved of new tunes for nearly three years, it was no surprise the internet went into frenzy when a few seconds of new music that Serge Pizzorno had hyped up in interviews with the NME was uploaded to Soundcloud on Boxing Day.
Another iconic day in the British calendar was chosen to mark their return. On St.Patrick's Day they put out an anthem suitable for drinking, a big pop tune called 'You're In Love With A Psycho'.
This was shortly followed glam-leaning rabble-rouser 'God Bless This Acid House' that supported guitarist Serge Pizzorno’s claim that the album is a “feel-good” record that’s “about saving guitar music from the abyss”. Both were played on Jools Holland before they embarked on their UK tour.
This set the tone for success and sure enough when their fifth album came out it as their fifth consecutive number one and ended Ed Sheeran's fifth consecutive week at the top.
There's few bands in the country that get as much of a reaction out of a crowd. Their songs are tailor made to raise the roof and it's impossible to think of a more suitable setting for them in London than the 02.
Tickets are on sale for Kasabian's show on the 1 and 2 of December on Thursday 31 August at 9.30 am here.
