We’ve all talked about it but Foo Fighters have only gone ahead and done it – they’re opening their own pub, the jammy bastards. Located in Bethnal Green, The Foo Fighter Arms (yep, a lot of thought seems to have gone into that one) will be a pop-up affair and opens for business on September 15 before calling time on September 20.
A statement on the pub’s website reads: “Foo Fighters are proud to announce the opening of the Foo Fighters Arms in London for one week only.
“Doors will open to the public on September 15 to celebrate the release of their new album Concrete And Gold and will host a series of events for both fans and the general public.
“There’ll be Foo Fighters beers and exclusive merchandise on sale throughout the week. Keep an eye on the band’s social media channels to find out more.”
So what of those events? A crib tournament perhaps? Maybe a darts competition? A few rounds of the famed drinking game fuzzy duck? Sadly not but as displayed by the itinerary there’s enough on to keep the punters happy. Let’s see now…

Quite whether any of frontman Dave Grohl’s myriad pals make it to the pub for a pint remains to be seen. Foo Fighters’ new album, Concrete And Gold, features guest appearances from Paul McCartney from that there 60s beat combo The Beatles, Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, Alison Mosshart out of The Kills and – yes, really – Justin Timberlake. We reckon Timberlake might be an IPA man.
