Last night on BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam show stars of the hilarious mockumentary ‘People Just Do Nothing’ unveiled their latest UK garage anthem, set to be released tomorrow (27 Oct).
Called ‘Suttin’ Like That’, the Rude Kid-produced track is characteristically early-noughties in flavour and harks back to garage’s heyday.
In particular, to this listener anyway, it resembles More Fire Crew’s stone cold classic ‘Oi’, especially in its raucous call-and-response chorus.

Following on from the single, and their landmark signing last month by XL Recordings, Kurupt FM are scheduled to release an hour-long mixtape on 17 November.
So-called ‘The Lost Tape’ is, according to Kurupt FM’s press team, a ‘legendary set that was broadcast live on Kurupt FM 108.9 and was recorded onto cassette tape by an anonymous listener.
‘Once lost in a backpack in deepest Brentford, the Lost Tape has now been uncovered, remixed and mastered for the very first time.'
Kurupt FM played festivals including Reading and Glastonbury this past summer, delighting fans with their trademark combination of hilarious lyrics and unabashedly oldschool UK Garage vibe.
The BBC sitcom that made Kurupt FM famous based was first broadcast in 2014, and last month broadcast the climactic episode to season four.
XL announced their signing of Kurupt FM back in September with this hilarious tweet, showing the boys sipping from miniature bottles of fizz and holding up impressive-looking handfuls of fivers.
