Time to take to the dancefloor once again, as The Holloways are reuniting for a one-off gig at Nambucca, their original North London base, on December 21.

Singer Alfie Jackson and bassist Bryn Fowler are set to reform with a full band for the one-off gig, although drummer Dave Danger won’t be joining the line-up.

The show marks the first public full-band Holloways gig since they split in 2011 with a show at the Relentless Garage in Highbury, although the band briefly reunited at a private show to commemorate the death of their guitarist and violinist Rob Skipper from a heroin overdose in 2014.

During the band’s lifespan they released two albums – the critically acclaimed 2006 debut ‘So This Is Great Britain?’ and 2009’s follow-up ‘No Smoke, No Mirrors’ – notched up four indie chart Number Ones and hit the Top Forty three times, reaching Number 14 with ‘Generator’ in 2007.
