Brett Anderson has announced details of a UK tour for late spring.
The former Suede frontman performed his first ever solo gig in Moscow last weekend and is about to embark on a sold-out three night residency at London’s Bush Hall next week.
The seven new shows kick off at Bristol University on May 1 and wind up at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire a week later. Tickets for all the shows are on sale now.
Anderson will be touring material from his eponymous debut solo album, released through Drowned in Sound Records on March 26.
It’s preceded by the single ‘Love is Dead’ on March 12. Anderson said of the song: "'Love Is Dead' is one of those rare songs that you manage to write every ten years that explains how you feel in exactly the right way.
“The last time that happened was with 'Trash' ten years ago, it seems right that it should happen again now."
The shows are as follows:
Bristol University – May 1
Manchester Academy – 2
Glasgow QMU – 4
Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall – 5
Newcastle University – 6
Cambridge Junction – 8
London Shepherds Bush Empire - 9
