    Bumblebeez Launch Art Exhibition

    Ahead of debut album release...

March 27, 2008 by Hazel Sheffield

Australian hip-hop act The Bumblebeez have announced that they will be showcasing their artwork in a visual show at Goodhood in Hoxton, London, from today.

The Bumblebeez garnered much attention in 2004 after winning a television competition and later performing with Radiohead in  Melbourne and Sydney.

Founding member Chris Colonna always intended The Bumblebeez to be a two-headed project, with this art show indicative of his plans to continue working as a visual artist within the framework of the band.

Colonna studied at the Pratt Institute in New York.  A previous installation of his involved walking into a darkened room with soft music playing, only to be pummelled by a tennis ball machine and gabba.

The art show precedes The Bumblebeez debut album release, ‘Prince Umberto & The Sister Of Ill’, due out later this year.
