Rick Astley made a surprise appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York yesterday (November 27th).
The singer serenaded crowds from aboard the Cartoon Network float with a performance of his 1987 hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.
Until Astley emerged, New Yorker's had been enjoying singing from some of the channel's most famous characters.

Astley's career has received a huge boost since the video for the song became the victim of an internet prank entitled Rickrolling.
Last month, Astley was named the Best Act Ever at the MTV Europe Music Awards but didn't appear in person to collect the prize.
