Take That's new album has sold almost one million copies in just nineteen days.

'The Circus', the band's second album since reforming in 2005, is the fastest million-selling album of this millennium so far.

Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, said the feat marked an “incredible run” for the group and predicted that their current total of 990,000 would pass the million mark later today (December 19th).

"The fab foursome have demonstrated once again just how much they are cherished by the great British public," he added.

But Take That are unlikely to catch the current biggest-selling album of 2008, 'Rockferry' by Duffy.

The current record for the fastest million-selling album is held by Oasis' 'Be Here Now', which achieved the milestone in just eleven days in 1997.
