Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip have revealed plans to record a collaboration with Dizzee Rascal.
Scroobius Pip told BBC 6 Music the pair had written a song for their new album that would “suit” the rapper.
But he said they weren’t just focussing on Rascal because of his recent chart success with Calvin Harris.
“We've done a few gigs now with Dizzee Rascal and we want to have a chat and, if he's got time, get him on one; but we've never been one for just picking names because they're names,” he said.
"On the last album we did a re-write of one of his tracks so the first time we met, I thought: 'Is he going to be annoyed with us?'
"But he was really nice and cool with it. If we see each other about we chat. Semtex, his DJ, is into our stuff and we chat every now and again.
"We'll send over a beat and an email and if it happens it happens, if not there's a lot of great people out there as well."
Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are also hoping to work with Riz MC and Peggy Sue on the album, the MC said.
The follow-up to the duo’s last album ‘Angels’ is due to be released towards the end of 2009.
