Hadouken! frontman James Smith has hit out at Lady Gaga and Kings Of Leon for their recent marketing tactics.
Speaking to Gigwise, Smith believes that Kings Of Leon's clothing range and Gaga selling locks of her own hair within deluxe box sets is taking things too far.
The singer claims the multi-million selling acts don't need the money and blasted “they can fuck off.”
He told us: “I much prefer the business models of younger bands who have done something clever like Frank Turner with a gig ticket inside a CD than Kings Of Leon or Lady Gaga who are probably making millions from record sales even in a dying industry.”
Before vehemently continuing: “I think that you stoop to levels which I find quite weird about Kings Of Leon and Lady Gaga - where they’re in a position where they don’t need to stoop.
“You can be a bit shrewd with things, and it’s not as shameless as it used to be. They don’t need the money, they can fuck off.”
Hadouken! release their second album 'For The Masses' through Atlantic Records on January 25.

- @ting Have you seen KOL's clothing range? It's like, £200 for a GUITAR STRAP. I'm not even going into the price of a jacket. At least Hadouken aren't sellouts, and don't need to do this to get fans, and packed out gigs of people chanting their name.
