Plan B is set to replace Cheryl Cole on this week's edition of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Gigwise can reveal.

The Girls Aloud star was due to sing new track 'Parachute' on the show, but pulled out after contracting bronchitis.

Cole is also currently the subject of huge press interest following her decision to leave footballer husband Ashley Cole.

Rapper-turned-singer Plan B – real name Ben Drew – will perform new single 'She Said' in her place.

Other guests on this week's programme include Charlotte Church, James Corden, the cast of Outnumbered and Olympic gold medalist Amy Williams.

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross airs at 10.35pm on BBC 1

  • I don't understand why her having bronchitis makes any difference at all? Not like she'd be singing
