Lady Gaga has thanked her UK fans after she topped both the album and singles charts on Sunday.
Former number one ‘The Fame Monster’ returned to the album summit, while ‘Telephone’ climbed from number 11 to one on the singles chart.
In a message on Twitter, Lady Gaga acknowledged her fans efforts and also paid tribute to Beyonce, who features on the single.
“TELEPHONE WENT #1 IN THE UK! + THE ALBUM FAME MONSTER WENT #1 UK,” she wrote.
“WE DID IT HONEY B! LOVE + KISSES TO OUR FANS, WE COULDNT DO IT WITHOUT U.”
Elsewhere on the album chart, last week’s number one, ‘Brother’ by Boyzone, slipped two places to number three ahead of Gorillaz ‘Plastic Beach’ at number four.
Two albums from the cast of the hit TV show Glee also featured in the top-10.
On the singles chart, Rihanna’s ‘Rude Boy’ fell to number two, while ‘Starry Eyed’ by Ellie Goudling was at number five.
