An estimated 2,000 people descended upon Broadcasting House in Central London on Saturday (March 26) to protest against the planned closure of BBC 6 Music.
The official rally was attended by 6 Music presenters, including Adam Buxton, a member of Maximo Park plus The Brute Chorus, Mirrorkicks and Allo Darlin' who all entertained the crowd with live performances.
The 90minute protest kicked off at midday with a speech from DJ Liz Kershaw who urged the BBC Trust to act within their powers and prevent the station from being axed next year.
Despite the temperamental weather, the atmosphere stayed upbeat as the thousands of 6Music fans of all ages made their point peacefully.
