The Maccabees have revealed that they are due to start work on their third album.
Guitarist Felix White said the group had enjoyed touring 2009's 'Wall Of Arms' but were now looking forward to recording their next effort.
“We've laughed a lot and it's a shame to not be touring properly again for a while but it's done and we've got to move on to the next thing,” he said in a message to fans.
“We're back at home now and sorting ourselves out for the making of our third record, which will occupy ninety percent of our attention this year.”
White added that making another album was a “genuinely exciting prospect”, and that fans could expect progress updates later in the year.
Meanwhile, The Maccabees are due to make a number of UK festival appearances this summer, including at Liverpool Sound City in May.
