Hundreds of fans walked out of a Whitney Houston concert in London on Sunday (April 25), it’s been reported.

Fans were said to have been left upset by the singer’s poor vocal performance during the show, which was the first of three dates at the O2 Arena.

Houston, who was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection earlier this month, is said to have apologised repeatedly for her performance.

According to USA Today, after struggling through ‘I Will Always Love You, the 46-year-old singer told fans: "She don't want to come, my soprano friend.”

One fan described the gig as “rubbish”, adding: "She can't even complete a song."

Houston’s inconsistent performances on her Nothing But Love world tour have already triggered a huge backlash from fans.

A fan who saw Houston open the UK leg of the tour in Birmingham earlier this month described the show as “the worst live gig I have ever been to”.

Houston is due to perform at the O2 Arena again tonight (April 26) and on Wednesday (28).

    • She was so rubbish, at one point i was in hysterics. Not worth the money. She looked knackered after the first song and her voice was a complete joke. Shes finished!

    • The worst gig i have ever been to, not one song completed in full, mostly talked rubbish, repeated one line over and over about how she loved us. It was more than hundreds that left it was closer to 25% that left by halfway point, mass exodus before the oncore. I feel a refund should be provided

    • We left after 55 minutes and had to queue to get out of the o2 such were the number of people leaving. She should get on the first plane back to America and never try to sing again. All the people in Manchester who had tickets cancelled... Do yourself a favour and get a refund rather than a ticket for a rearranged gig. Are people legally entitled to a refund – trade descriptions spring to mind?

    • Peter is right, when she came on for the encore there were many more blue empty seats than people and she left almost all the singing of that song to the backing singers. A great entertainer but last night was plain dreadful.

    • It was an absolute shambles. She should not be allowed to perform any more shows and take peoples money. It's also a disgrace that it's impossible to make any complaint apart from asking for your money back - trading standards should close this show down.
