Noel Gallagher has said he plans to vote for footballer Carlos Tevez in tomorrow’s General Election.
The former Oasis guitarist decided to pledge his allegiance to the Manchester City star during a conversation with his wife.
“Me and the missus were talking about it because we've got to vote this week,” he said jokingly in an interview with the FA.
"She was going, 'Who are you voting for?' and I said, 'I'm not voting for anyone'.
"I'm just going to take my voting card and I'm going to put in massive letters 'Tevez is God' and throw it in the polling station. I'm voting Tevez."
Noel Gallagher talks to Tim Lovejoy about the upcoming General Election.
Gallagher, a life-long Manchester City fan, was famously linked to New Labour in the nineties due to its allegiance with Britpop.
But, in 2007, the guitarist criticised the party, and blamed Tony Blair for its demise.
"When the Labour Party got in it was all about children and education and yet 10 years down the line there's people saying that kids are better off in Poland," he said.
