Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears says their appearance at this weekend’s Glastonbury festival will be one of the biggest gigs of their career.

The US band are due to perform under headliners Muse on the Pyramid Stage this Saturday (June 26).

In an exclusive interview with Gigwise, Shears said the slot was “an awesome gift” for the group.

“We are so ****ing lucky. To be able to play the slot that we have on the main stage at Glastonbury is like…I just feel completely blessed, I mean it’s just amazing,” he said.

The singer added: “Those are real special, you know - if you’re lucky - once in a lifetime things.”

Scissor Sisters release their new album ‘Night Work’ later this month.

Check back to Gigwise later in the week for a full interview with the band’s frontman.
