Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said talks are “ongoing” for U2 to make their debut at the event in 2011.
The Irish group were forced to pull out of this year’s festival when singer Bono injured his back.
But guitarist The Edge still appeared at Glastonbury yesterday (June 26), joining Muse onstage during their headline slot.
Speaking at a press conference this morning (June 27), Eavis said talks for U2 to return were an “ongoing conversation”.
He also hinted that next year's three headliners had already been finalised.
Eavis also praised this year’s event as the “hottest Glastonbury ever”, and described the six hours after Muse took to the stage last night as “the best of his life”.
Gigwise is coming live from the festival all weekend, so keep checking www.gigwise.com for the latest news, photos and interviews.
