Police are investigating two attempted murders at the conclusion of this year's T In The Park festival in Scotland.

Two 20-year-old men were found with serious abdominal injuries at the campsite in Balado Park just before midnight on Sunday (July 12).

They are currently being treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where their condition was described as serious but stable.

Det Insp Steve Bissett told BBC News the attempted murders were “particularly disturbing”, and made an appeal for potential witnesses.

"It's possible some campers may have captured vital images of the incident on cameras or mobile phones, and a number of others will have witnessed the assault,” he said.

Investigators are also looking into allegations that a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted on Saturday night (July 10).

A man also sustained serious head injuries after falling from a flagpole situated in the main stage area on Sunday.

As previously reported on Gigwise, a 24-year-old man died on the first night of the festival on Friday (July 9).

T In The Park was headlined by Muse, Eminem and Kasabian.

You can see photos from each day on Gigwise:

Day One With Muse, Editors And Black Eyed Peas
Day Two With Eminem, Julian Casablancas And The Prodigy

Day Three With Kasabian, Jay-Z And Babyshambles
