Lady Gaga Abandons Hall Of Fame Visit To Write 'Number One Song'

Lady Gaga told fans at a gig in Cleveland last night (July 14) that she had abandoned a trip to a museum to write a new song.

The singer was scheduled to receive a private tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum, but opted to stay in the studio on her tour bus.

"I wrote a No. 1 record in Cleveland," she told fans at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Lady Gaga had earlier spoken about her time in the studio in a post on Twitter.

“Emerging from studio coma. Voted no visit to rocknroll hall of fame, rather write a hit that puts me in it,” she wrote.

“Now let's rock 20,000 Cleveland.”

She did not play the song at the gig, but did perform her previously aired new track 'You and I', reports The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The singer is currently on the latest North American leg of her Monster Ball world tour.
