The parole hearing for John Lennon's killer has been postponed until September.
Mark Chapman had been due to appear before the parole board at Attica prison in New York this week.
Chapman, who was jailed for 20 years to life for shootig Lennon outside his New York home in 1980, is seeking freedom for the sixth time.
The parole board told the Associated Press that they were “awaiting the receipt of additional information so that the record is complete for Mr. Chapman's upcoming parole interview”.
Last month, Lennon's widow Yoko Ono wrote a letter to the parole board opposing Chapman's release.
In her letter, she said parole would “bring back the nightmare, the chaos and confusion once again”.
