Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has told Gigwise that the band's next album will be like a jukebox.
The group, who ended their current tour at last weekend's V Festival, are expected to start work on the record in the coming months.
In an exclusive interview with Gigwise, Pizzorno – the band's chief songwriter – said he had already started work on some demos.
“It's all a bit mental at the moment,” he said of the recording. “The things I do have are really bizarre – in a really interesting way – so I can't wait to sit down with them and see where they go.”
When asked what they sounded like, Pizzorno replied: “At the moment, it's sort of jukebox music.
"You know when you get to a really good jukebox – not like the new ones where they've got every song ever made by everyone. The ones with the 45s, where there's a really good selection, and you click the button and something good comes up.”
The guitarist added that the band hadn't set a timescale for the follow-up to 2009's 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.
The full interview with Pizzorno is available to watch now on the Gigwise TV player on the right hand side of this page.
