Local Natives Have 'Big Expectations' For Reading And Leeds 2010

Local Natives have said that their expectations are high ahead of their appearance at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds festivals.

The US band are due to play on the Radio 1 Stage at Leeds on Saturday (August 28) and Reading on Sunday (August 29).

Singer Taylor Rice told Gigwise that the band, who released their debut album ‘Gorilla Manor’ in November, are slowly getting used to UK festivals.

“We’ve been learning as we go,” he said of the band’s summer appearances.

“There’s definitely a big expectation. [Reading and Leeds] are the very last shows that we’re doing on this trip so I think it will be a really special one for us.”

You can watch Gigwise’s full interview with Local Natives on Gigwise TV on the right hand side of this page.

Meanwhile, Reading and Leeds, which runs until Sunday (August 29), will be headlined by Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink-182.

Other acts on the bill include Klaxons, The Libertines, The Cribs, Paramore, Weezer and Lostprophets.

Gigwise will be coming live from both festivals throughout the weekend so stay tuned for all the latest news, gig reports and photos.
