Hook is currently touring Joy Division's classic album 'Unknown Pleasures' with a stand in for singer Curtis, who committed suicide in May 1980.
In a post on Twitter, Mani said: “3 things visible from space, great wall of china, peter hooks wallet stuffed with ian Curtis blood money, man citys empty trophy cabinet!”
Mani also described Hook as a “self-centred sellout”, adding in another tweet that he didn't feel the need to “exploit my past glories”.
Meanwhile, the band Freebass, which consisted of Hook, Mani and guitarist Andy Rourke, has split.
The group had been expected to release their long-awaited album 'It’s A Beautiful Life' later this year.
