Kanye West 'Hires Yale Drop-Out To Help Reinvent Career'

Kanye West has hired a student from Yale to help reinvent his career, it’s been reported.

The rapper is understood to have asked Cassius Marcellus Cornelius Clay to help him overcome the fallout from his outburst at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

West came under fire from his peers and fans when he stormed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.

Clay, a descendant of 19th century anti-slavery crusader Cassius Clay, is said to have struck up a relationship with West after they met at New York department store Barney’s.

According to The Ivy Gate Blog, the pair have continued to maintain contact and Clay is apparently now a member of West’s “inner posse”.

The 20-year-old is said to have advised the rapper on his recent apology to Swift, which took place over an hour on Twitter. Clay has apparently not returned to Yale after summer break.

West is currently finishing his new studio album, which is due to be released in November.
