The Ting Tings have revealed that they plan to showcase their new album in “smallish-sized venues”.
The duo of singer Katie White and drummer Jules de Martino said they were hoping to use the gigs next year to reconnect with their audience.
“We really want to concentrate on doing smallish-sized venues – we really love doing that,” de Martino told Gigwise.
“Of course playing around the world in big venues has been fantastic, but we're missing how we started – in thousand to two-thousands seaters – and we're really trying to plot away around Europe that we can do that.”
He added: “It's really good fun for a band to do that, you really connect to your audience."
In an exclusive video interview with Gigwise, which you can watch on the right hand side of this page, White also revealed that the duo would be joined by new band members on tour.
The group are currently rehearsing with musicians they met while on the road in support of their 2007 debut 'We Started Nothing'.
The Ting Tings as-yet-untitled second album is due out early next year. The first single from the record, 'Hands', is released on October 11.
