MOBO Awards 2010 Marred By Aftershow Violence

Police were called after trouble broke out at the official aftershow party for the MOBO Awards in Liverpool.

The party, at the Hilton Hotel, was due to go on to 4am but was brought to an abrupt end at 1am on Thursday morning (October 21).

One eye witness, model Alex Leigh, said she saw around 30 people storm the VIP room before “smashing each other up and bottling each other”.

She also claimed to have seen blood on the floors and walls, reports the Liverpool Echo.

A police spokesman said: “Police will be speaking to the event organisers and hotel staff to seek to identify those involved in the incident and if any members of the public wish to report any offences.

“Any offences reported will be investigated thoroughly.”

Guestss at the aftershow included Sir Alex Ferguson’s former daughter-in-law Nadine Ferguson and Steven Gerrad's wife Alex Curran.

Earlier in the evening, acts including Tinie Tempah, JLS and Professor Green were presented with MOBOs at the awards ceremony at the Echo Arena.
