Former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain wanted to become involved with the ‘90s cartoon show, The Ren & Stimpy show, according to reports.
Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994, is said to have approached producers offering to work on the show.
Billy West, who played the voice of Stimpy, told the Nerdist podcast: "One day, this scraggly kid came in [to the Spümcø offices] and said he wanted to write a song for Ren & Stimpy, and they said, 'Yeah, that's great,' and they threw it in the waste basket, and it was Kurt Cobain."
West’s comments have yet to be confirmed by the shows bosses.
Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle on April 8 1994. He is believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
