Arctic Monkeys performed a surprise set at this weekend’s Radio 1 Big Weekend.
The band, who are set to release their new album ‘Suck It And See’ next month, made a previously unannounced appearance on the main stage at the event in Carlisle today (May 14).
Playing a 45-minute set Arctic Monkeys played a mix of tracks from previous albums as well as new single 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I Moved Your Chair'.
The two-day free music event which kicks off today (May 14) at Carlisle Airport and will be headlined by Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Tinie Tempah and My Chemical Romance.
Performing on the Saturday (14) will be Black Eyed Peas, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Plan B and Chase & Status.
Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance, Olly Murs, Bruno Mars, The Wombats, Professor Green, Katy B, The Script and Taio Cruz will appear on the Sunday (15).
