Jack White And Karen Elson Announce Divorce And 'Divorce Party'

Jack White and Karen Elson have announced that they are getting divorced.

In a statement, the couple, who married in June 2005, said they would remain close friends and has decided to celebrate their separation with a party.

“We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee,” they said.

“We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow.”

They added: “In honuor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family."

White is a former member of The White Stripes, while Elson is best known for her work as a model.
