N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has said she expected to be abused by hopefuls on The X Factor after being made one of the four judges.
The singer, who replaced Cheryl Cole on the panel, made her debut on the new series of the talent show, which began last weekend.
In the first episode, Contostavlos was verbally abused by wannabe contestant George Gerasimou, who tried to make comparisons between her and Cole.
"I think it was inevitable, I actually expected to get slack off someone,” she told ITV 1.
"I know there was a lot of controversy around the fact that I was taking the role as a judge. And you know, I just kind of expected it at some point, someone's going to challenge me.
“So it wasn't so bad when it came along... I gave as good as got I like to think."
Contostavlos is joined on the judging panel by fellow new judges Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland, as well as long-standing judge Louis Walsh.
The public have reacted favourably to the new judges.
The opening episode attracted 10.5million viewers, according to overnight figures.
