Reading Festival Weather Forecast Is Set For 'Rain'

Festival fans eagerly anticipating the start to this weekend's Reading Festival should be braced for some heavy showers.

Pulp, The Strokes, My Chemical Romance and Muse will headline the dual festival, which takes place alongside the Leeds festival from August 26-28.

A spokesperson for The Met Office told Gigwise that today – the first day of the event – could see some heavy thundery showers, although these will clear by the evening.

She added: “Saturday again is a mixed day wit the chance of some rain. The best of the weather for the festival  will be Sunday with lots of sunshine.”

Other acts on the bill include Interpol, Elbow, The National, Pete Doherty, 30 Seconds To Mars and Bring Me The Horizon.
