Arctic Monkeys Taking Two Year Break From Recording Studio

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has said the band have no plans to return to the studio until at least 2013.

The singer, who has gained much publicity for sporting a new haircut at the recent V Festival, said they wanted to focus on touring.

"I don't really write on the road any more. We come up with a few ideas on soundchecks and that but I have written too many terrible lyrics touring around,” he told The Sun.

“As yet there is no plan to return to the studio next year, we're keeping our heads down. We've always been thinking about the next move. For now we're just focused on the touring."

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys have teased fans with an apparent DVD trailer of their recent gigs at Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl.
