Cowboys and Aliens star Olivia Wilde is currently in talks to take over the lead role in Better Living Through Chemistry.
The film, which originally saw Jennifer Garner as the lead female role, was forced to make a few cast changes after Garner announced she was pregnant with her third child.
Directed by Geoff Moore and David Posamentier, Better Living Through Chemistry will look into the life of Doug Varney, a married and quiet pharmacist played by Sam Rockwell who has an affair with an attractive female customer. His life will begin to spiral out of control when they begin plotting to kill her husband.
The cast will see Michelle Monaghan play Rockwell's on-screen wife, Judi Dench as the narrator and if all goes well, Olivia Wilde as the 'wild' trophy wife customer.
The film will mark Wilde and Rockwell's second collaboration after co-starring in Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens which was released in the UK last week.
Better Living Through Chemistry will be released in 2013.
