Tom Jones has been admitted to hospital after 'sever dehyrdation' forced him to cancel his show over the weekend.
The singer, who was due to perform in Monte Carlo on Saturday night (August 27), was told by doctors to cancel the show.
Reports in the press over the weekend had suggested that Jones had suffered from heart problems but these were quickly dismissed by Jones' camp.
A spokesman for Tom Jones said: ''Sir Tom was ordered by doctors not to perform in Monte Carlo yesterday evening, due to severe dehydration. This was extremely disappointing for Tom, the band and all connected with the tour. This was the last date of a very successful 3 month tour, where many of the shows were in locations that were in the throes of high summer heat. There are NO heart problems, as has been reported in the press.''
Tom Jones is now thought to be stabilised and in 'no danger'.
