Red Hot Chili Peppers have hinted that they may perform in the UK around next year's Olympics in London.
The 2012 games take place from July 27 to August 12 at venues in and around the capital.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, drummer Chad Smith said the band would be playing UK festivals next summer.
"I think that we'll come and play over here next year,” he said. "We know that the Olympics are over here and we thought maybe we'll coordinate."
If the band's UK dates do coincide with the Olympics, it means Red Hot Chili Peppers could potentially play festival like T In The Park and Reading and Leeds – both of which fall either side of the Games.
Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album 'I'm With You' is out now.
The band previewed songs from the album at an intimate gig at London's KOKO last weekend.
