Mick Jagger will play a media mogul based on Rupert Murdoch in a new movie, Deadline reports.
The Rolling Stones frontman came up with the idea of making a film about a media mogul, and will produce it through his company Jagged Films.
The movie has been given the working title Tabloid, and the thriller has been written by History of Violence writer Josh Olsen.
The 68-year-old's last film was 2001 effort The Man from Elysian Fields.
This follows news that Jagger's bandmate Keith Richards was looking at the possibility of turning his autobiography, Life, into a film.
