A new video has emerged from the set of Superman: Man of Steel.
Filming has been taking place in Vancouver, with the Canadian city doubling as an Alaskan town.
The video shows Cavill, fully bearded, helping to rescue a team of workers, guiding them on to a helicopter.
Little is known about the storyline of Zack Snyder's reboot, but it is thought that Clark Kent leaves Smallville to embark on a journey of self dicovery, arriving in Alaska where he will both find himself and build his fortress of solitude.
Cavill, the first non-American to play the iconic DC character, is joined by Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon.
Superman: Man of Steel is scheduled for release on June 14, 2013.
