Christopher Nolan has been shooting a riot scene in New York as filming on The Dark Knight Rises continues.
Nolan was seen overseeing the action, which featured men with rifles taking to the streets as scores of frightened extras ran by in terror.
Filming on the final Batman movie comes to an end once shooting is wrapped in the Big Apple, but the cast and crew have been as busy as ever.
Matthew Modine was recently caught on set waving about a pair of pink knickers.
Both Joseph Gordon-Levitt - in full Police uniform - and Christian Bale have also featured in scenes together.
One of the big stunts has seen the Batwing take to the air to disable Bane's domesday device, in what appears to be a continuation from a scene shot in Los Angeles.
Filming on The Dark Knight Rises has taken place in London, Nottingham, Jodhpur, India and Pittsburgh.
It is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012.
