Legendary film director David Lynch has compared making his debut musical effort to catching and cooking fish.
"The ideas come from some place else. It's like fish," he told The Guardian.
These words may not actually be as mad as they sound, as the 'Twin Peaks' creator - known for his unwavering eccentricity - explained exactly what he meant by the analogy.
"You didn't make the fish. You caught the fish. Now you can cook it in a good way or a bad way, but that's as far as it goes."
Adding: "The fish comes from some place else. And sometimes…. Sometimes it talks back to you. Tells you how it wants to be cooked."
Lynch also said that "there's a lot of fear involved" in the forthcoming album, called 'Crazy Clown Time', and that he started the project to "overcome a lot of fear and embarrassment".
The album is scheduled for release on Monday (November 7).
