Scarlett Johansson NOT Dating The Tribes' Dan White

After a weekend of online reports that actress Scarlett Johansson is dating Tribes’ Dan White, it appears it was all 'pub joke'.

It was reported by the Sunday Mirror that he guitarist met Johansson while she was filming her new movie Under The Skin and the pair have since been involved romantically.

A source told the paper: ''They got on like a house on fire and Scarlett was into his band's music. There was an instant connection. They've been seeing each other for a good few weeks. Dan's proper happy about it – and what guy wouldn't be? He already thinks the world of Scarlett.

They added: "Dan thinks she's an amazing girl. They both have incredibly busy lives but are going to see where things go. Dan's band Tribes is only just taking off and Scarlett has a lot of work on. So who knows?"

A a friend of Dan White's has told Gigwise that the story is completely made-up.

'The story was started of as a joke in a pub with the band and Dan's mates, when I journalist picked up on it and ran it. It shows you how much people will believe.''

Johansson has dated several of Hollywood’s leading actors including her former husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, with whom she split from in 2010.
